The project aims to enhance educational opportunities through the development of child-friendly school infrastructure in Lotanti, situated within ward no. 11 of Kalika Municipality in the Chitwan district, approximately 190 km west of Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital. The initiative focuses on improving the overall educational environment while simultaneously fostering community development. Lotanti is home to 52 households inhabited by marginalized Chepang communities, totaling 288 individuals. These efforts are designed not only to upgrade educational facilities but also to uplift the local community by creating a conducive learning environment that supports the holistic development of children and promotes inclusivity within the region.

This project brings significant benefits to the Shree Rastriya Basic School established in 1993, and its community in Lotanti. With a focus on enhancing educational infrastructure, it directly impacts 60 students and 3 teachers of the school, which caters to Nursery through Class 3 education. Additionally, the project extends its positive influence to benefit 250 residents within the Lotanti community. By improving school facilities and creating a more conducive learning environment, the initiative not only enhances educational outcomes but also contributes to the overall development and well-being of the local community, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for both students and residents alike.
