The project in Koirale, located in ward 7 of Bangalchuli Rural Municipality in the Dang district of Inner Terai, Midwestern Nepal, is situated 450 km west of Kathmandu. The area is home to 91 households, primarily comprising the marginalized Magar population, totaling 513 residents. The initiative focused on developing a child-friendly, safe, and secure school infrastructure equipped with essential resources such as furniture, books, and educational materials. Additionally, through the Educational Environment Improvement and Community Enhancement Program (EEICEP), the project aimed to empower the community by encouraging ownership of local issues and promoting sustainable solutions. This approach included intensifying educational activities, conducting capacity building sessions, and providing support on health issues, which were expected to foster positive changes in economic, social empowerment, and educational environment improvement.
The project directly benefited 92 students and 7 teachers of Shree Jana Jagriti Primary School (Nursery to Class 5), as well as 250 individuals from 45 households within the Koirale community, contributing significantly to holistic community development and enhancing educational opportunities.
