The project supports developing child friendly school infrastructure and focuses on the improvement of the educational environment and community enhancement. The project location Bangthala is located in ward no 11 of Kalika Municipality of Chitwan district, 190 km to the west from the capital Kathmandu. Total 136 household families of marginalized population of Chepang with around 737 people live in the project location.
This project benefits 98 students, 4 teachers of Shree Dakshinkali Basic School (Nursery to Class 5), established in 2001 and 324 people from the community of Bangthala.
Specific Objective:
A. Provide access to a safe learning environment through the construction of School infrastructures
B. Provide access to knowledge, skill and resources (technology, tools, materials and services) for developing self-reliance, resilience, and adoptive capacity of the community to empower them to take ownership of their local issues and constrains and practice sustainable solutions and to improve the educational quality
