School and Home Gardening

The project titled “School and Home Gardening at Shree Janajyoti Primary School, Mahatinikhola” was launched by Shanti Griha Nepal to bolster social and productive infrastructure while enhancing human capacity in areas such as income generation, education, health, leadership, and peacebuilding.

Building on insights gained from our previous initiative, “Extension and Improvement of the Learning Environment at Shree Janajyoti Primary School,” we recognized that while resources were available for improving living conditions, the marginalized community lacked essential knowledge and guidelines, leading to persistent challenges.

This new project not only aims to promote the importance of education but also addresses the need for a healthier, more educated community. By engaging in “School and Home Gardening,” the project seeks to encourage community participation, practical involvement, and the benefits of gardening. This initiative is designed to improve living conditions and foster a sense of accomplishment and self-reliance among community members.
